Puffy Peeps--otherwise known as paper people--live underground with their Makers. They are formed from a paperlike pulp that has been chewed by the Maker and contains the Maker’s nanobiobots. Puffies were originally fashioned to be Maker servants, playthings and messengers, and were repaired and sometimes even traded by their Makers. While physically strong, most Puffies will dissolve in a heavy rain--and this simple fact prevents most Puffies from running away to the Overground.But the Puffy Liberation Front has arisen and Puffies are looking for freedom (and good umbrellas) :-)
